Health, Safety & Environment

AcreNest has developed in-house HSE Policy to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, conserve environment and to strive for continual improvement by periodically monitoring performance.

HEALTH

The day to day activities are monitored to find out health risks associated with operations and the same will be mitigated to the lowest practicable level to provide safe & healthy work environment to our personnel.
Acrenest is ensuring clean and healthy environment for birds. Adequate veterinary aid facilities are available in-site. Medicine & vaccination procedure is strictly followed for all birds.
The entry is restricted and limited to the in-charge farm employees. All site personnel and vehicle must be undergoing sanitizing process before entering the Farm.

SAFETY

It is ensured that all farm activities remain safe to operate & maintain throughout the life cycle of the project.
Bird shades are well secured with stringent bio-security measures under through hygienic conditions.

ENVIRONMENT

Minimizing environmental impact by conserving resources, reducing waste generation and controlling pollution & contamination in all farm activities. The environmental management for the site is as follows:

LAND
Bird litter is packed in bags and to be sold in market. It is used in agriculture as organic fertilizer. Hatchery and Feed processing unit waste to be dumped in a local pit located at site and will be transferred at safe place designated by local authority. Office and labor quarter solid waste to be dumped into dustbins and routed to designated area.

WATER
Farm waste water is routed to the plants/trees with-in site. Contaminated water from hatchery/Farm is routed to soak pit.
Office and labor quarter sanitary waste is routed to separate pit and will be transferred to an area designated by local authority by dumping vehicles.

AIR
Silent Generator is purchased in accordance with local statutory requirements. There are no other equipment envisaged which can create significant air pollution.
The most common issue with poultry farms is the formation of ammonia produced by bird litter. It can sometimes cause discomfort to people if its concentration is above 25 ppm. The rate of dispersion depends on the meteorological data and sheds ventilation. At present, there is no population density in near vicinity and the site boundaries are surrounded by lush green farms. In future, if any concern related to ammonia smell will bring to our notice, we will develop a model and perform dispersion study to calculate the distance travel by ammonia of 25 ppm contour. Accordingly preventive measures will be provided, if required.
